Because we make perfume. The same perfumers and in-house AFL laboratory that develop our HIKARI Eau de Parfum and pure essential oils formulate every ELiX air freshener and Amarella product — correct top/heart/base structure, controlled evolution and real depth. Mass-market rivals buy generic blends from commodity houses and can’t replicate it. It isn’t a feature we added; it’s a consequence of being a fragrance house. For partners this means higher satisfaction, lower returns and stronger repeat purchase.
We are a genuine, vertically integrated manufacturer — not a trading company or reseller. MB ELiX sp. z o.o. sp.k. has operated its own production facility in Wrocław, Poland for over 25 years, with an in-house R&D laboratory (AFL — Aroma Formulation Labs) on the same site. We design, formulate, manufacture and quality-test all products ourselves.
Two paths — and you can start with one and add the other later. Distribution — resell our proven brands (ELiX, Amarella, HIKARI) in your market, with distributor pricing, marketing support and territorial exclusivity. Private Label / OEM — your own brand on our formulas, in two routes: White Label, a fast, lower-risk launch from our tested fragrance library (from ~3,000 units/SKU, 8–12 weeks) — the most economical entry point for most brands; and Custom OEM, fully bespoke development for established businesses with an existing market and sales. Smaller pilot runs and custom development are possible, but every production run carries fixed set-up and line-changeover costs, so very small quantities are rarely cost-effective. Tell us your target and we’ll advise honestly on what makes sense for your stage — and reply within 24 hours.
All ELiX products sold within the European Union are manufactured exclusively in Poland, at our Wrocław facility. ELiX also operates licensed manufacturing in India (for the Indian market) and Nigeria (for African markets) — these facilities serve only their respective local markets and supply no products to EU channels. This distinction matters: EU-manufactured products are subject to full EU regulatory oversight from raw-material sourcing to finished-product labelling, guaranteeing REACH/CLP compliance, complete supply-chain traceability and product-liability coverage that imported goods frequently cannot provide.
All of them, from one certified EU site: car & home air fresheners, laundry fragrance & fabric care (Amarella), fine fragrance / Eau de Parfum (HIKARI), professional essential & scenting oils, and odour neutralisers (Odorano®). We’re the only European manufacturer spanning this full fragrance spectrum — one partner, one audit, simplified logistics, and every format producible under your own label.
ELiX holds: BRC Global Standard for Consumer Products · ISO 9001 · ISO 14001 · REACH/CLP compliant with UFI/PCN notifications · IFRA-aligned formulations (51st and 52nd Amendments) · TÜV SÜD third-party verification · SASO (Saudi Arabia / GCC) · FSC-certified packaging · Plastic Neutral (Plastic Bank). IFRA conformity certificates are held for all our compositions and available on request. Full certification documentation is available upon request.
Safety is a core design principle across all ELiX product lines. Our Amarella Hypoallergenic range includes a laundry scent booster developed specifically for allergy sufferers — the only fully certified and independently tested product of its type available in Europe. While we use natural ingredients where possible, some substances can still trigger reactions in sensitive individuals, so every product declares full allergen information on its packaging in line with EU regulations. From July 2026 the EU expands mandatory fragrance-allergen labelling from 26 to over 80 declared compounds — our IFRA-aligned R&D ensures forward compliance for all products, with no reformulation risk for distribution partners.
We work with high-quality European fragrance materials, including French sources, composed and tested in-house at our AFL laboratory in Wrocław. Our library holds 1,000+ tested profiles across all product categories; for fine fragrance (Eau de Parfum) we offer a focused, curated selection. All formulations are phthalate-free, IFRA-aligned and fully REACH/CLP compliant.
⚠ We strongly advise against it.
The regulatory requirements for placing fragrance products, air fresheners or household chemical products on the EU market are among the most demanding in the world. They include REACH substance registration, CLP classification and labelling, UFI/PCN poison-centre notifications, and — depending on product type — notification under the Cosmetic Products Regulation (CPNP) or authorisation under the Biocidal Products Regulation. Products manufactured outside the EU typically do not meet these requirements and require extensive, costly and time-consuming compliance work before they can be legally sold here.
In recent years, EU customs controls on chemical products entering from outside the EU have intensified significantly. An importer who places a non-compliant product on the EU market becomes the legally “responsible person” under EU product safety law and bears full liability — including: customs seizure and product destruction, substantial administrative fines (which vary by member state but can reach six figures), civil liability for product-related harm, and in serious cases, criminal prosecution under national product safety legislation.
Products from outside the EU are also unlikely to comply with the IFRA 51st and 52nd Amendment standards mandatory from October and December 2025, or with the expanded allergen labelling requirements taking effect in July 2026. These are legal requirements for market placement in the EU — not optional guidelines.
Sourcing from a certified EU manufacturer is the only risk-free path to compliant fragrance distribution in the European market.

We provide: full product catalogue and marketing materials, POS materials, digital assets (product images, descriptions, translations in 5 languages — EN, FR, DE, PL, ES), sales and product training, dedicated account management, co-marketing support for strategic partners, and free access to ValidLabels (validlabels.com) — our multilingual CLP label-compliance system (local-language listing plug-in + on-demand generation and printing of compliant product labels during order fulfilment), so partners can list and sell legally across EU markets.
We prepare comprehensive export documentation as standard: SDS/MSDS, CLP compliance declarations, UFI codes, certificates of origin and EU-compliant product labelling. Our logistics team supports partners with customs requirements across all markets we serve.
Yes. We offer both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) services. You can launch your own branded product line using our proven formats, or develop a completely bespoke product from scratch. For details, visit our Private Label page at elixscent.com/private-label/
MOQ depends on the product category. For Eau de Parfum we can start from around 200 units per fragrance at any price tier; about 3,000 units per SKU is usually the threshold for the most attractive per-unit pricing. Other categories have their own thresholds. Smaller runs are possible, but fixed set-up and line-changeover costs are spread across fewer units, so the per-unit price rises. Tell us your product, format and target volume for an exact figure.
For a standard White Label project — an existing fragrance from our library plus standard packaging — typically 8–12 weeks from brief to shipment, covering scent selection, packaging approval, regulatory verification and production. For custom development we start from your benchmark or brief, the target application (perfume, spray, reed diffuser, etc.) and your target unit cost; it runs on a development fee plus a project deposit (around €960), takes roughly 6–10 weeks, and includes one sample and one revision on request. Minimum production volume depends on format and packaging — we confirm it against your brief. For most brands, and especially first launches, our 1,000+ tested library is the faster, lower-risk route.
Three options: supply your own proven formula, select from our 1,000+ tested profiles developed in-house at AFL (Aroma Formulation Labs), or commission a fully bespoke scent. We first check whether a matching profile already exists — for a single application this is usually free; adapting it to further applications, or creating an entirely new scent, carries a development fee. Bespoke development includes mandatory safety and stability testing; minimum production volume depends on format and packaging. For smaller or first-time brands, our existing library is the faster, lower-risk route.
Custom formulas developed exclusively for a client become the client’s intellectual property upon full payment, as specified in the production agreement. We do not resell or reuse client-specific formulas for other projects.
Yes. We are happy to sign an NDA upon request before any project-specific information is exchanged. Contact our sales team to initiate the process.
Yes — documentation matches the product type. Air fresheners, laundry products, essential/diffuser oils and odour neutralisers are air-care mixtures: SDS, CLP labelling and UFI/PCN notification (cosmetic files do not apply). HIKARI Eau de Parfum is our only cosmetic line, so it carries full cosmetic documentation — CPNP notification, Product Information File (PIF) and safety assessment (CPSR) — included as part of the private-label service; a nominal fee can apply on very small one-off pilot orders. IFRA conformity certificates are held for all our compositions and provided on request for approved/finished formulas.
Yes. For fragrance there are three routes: (A) select from our ready library — fastest and most economical (for Eau de Parfum this is a curated set of proven profiles); (B) commission a fully bespoke scent — a development fee applies, roughly 6–10 weeks, including one sample and one revision; or (C) send us a benchmark scent and we’ll check whether we already have a matching formulation. Sample type, quantity and cost are agreed in advance; delivery is at the recipient’s cost, and samples can’t be combined with retail orders from our online shop.
Yes. We produce professional fragrance and essential oils in four lines: Natural Scenting (100% natural essential oils), Whiff of Perfume (designer-inspired perfume oils), Ambient Scenting (functional scent-marketing oils) and Odorano® (odour-neutralising oil). These are concentrated, neat (undiluted) oils engineered for cold-air (nebulising) and reed diffusion — they are not water-soluble and are not intended for water-tank ultrasonic units. Available in 50 ml, 120 ml and 1 L (the 1 L is ideal for refill/subscription programmes), for hospitality, retail, spa, offices and scent-marketing operators — and available under private label. They are placed on the EU market as CLP-classified air-care mixtures with full documentation, not relabelled as cosmetics.
Yes — HIKARI is our Eau de Parfum line: designer-inspired fragrance families at an accessible price, IFRA-aligned and EU safety-tested, and our only cosmetic product category. For Eau de Parfum we offer a curated library of proven profiles; we can also match a benchmark or develop a bespoke scent. Available to resell under the HIKARI brand or to produce under your own label — independent creations, described only as “designer-inspired,” never as copies of named perfumes.
Sustainability is built into production: FSC-certified packaging, rPET materials where possible, Plastic Neutral (Plastic Bank) partnership, and ISO 14001 environmental management. These are verifiable credentials suitable for retail tenders and ESG reporting — documentation available on request.
Yes — including the part most sellers underestimate: labelling. Our products are engineered for consistent batch-to-batch quality and repeat purchase, and we supply listing-ready assets (images, descriptions, translations) plus the regulatory documentation marketplaces require. Crucially, selling fragrance and household-chemical products online in the EU requires correct CLP hazard labelling in each destination market’s language — a common legal gap for online sellers. To remove it, our clients get free access to ValidLabels (validlabels.com), a multilingual CLP label-compliance system: a plug-in that presents your product offer in the local language, plus on-demand generation and printing of compliant product labels during order fulfilment. This lets you list and sell legally across EU markets without building compliance infrastructure yourself. Talk to us about MOQs and a ready-to-list assortment for your channel.
Yes — that’s precisely what our in-house AFL laboratory does. We select the base, raw materials and formulation parameters for each application to achieve the best stability, scent throw and longevity for your product.
Yes — every formulation is stability- and quality-tested before production, in line with EU requirements and standard practice at our AFL laboratory.
We work strictly B2B and provide quotes only to registered companies. Please include your company details and VAT number with your enquiry — this lets us prepare an accurate, compliant offer and the correct documentation for your market.
Three routes, from fastest to fully custom:
• Option A — our stock packaging (fastest, lowest cost): choose a bottle, closure and carton from our catalogue; we simply apply your label.
• Option B — your specified components: send the supplier details for the bottle and cap you want and we purchase them for you; a custom outer carton can be designed for around €500.
• Option C — we source to your design: we search for a bottle and closure to match your design for a fee of around €1,000; the result is a suitable bottle/cap, or a costing for the bottle, cap and any tooling required to produce it.
Many stock bottles can also be customised with colour, cap and decoration. Fully custom-tooled bottles are available under Custom OEM once volumes justify the tooling investment.
Unit price depends on fragrance concentration, bottle finish, closure type and carton specification — including whether you want an outer carton and gold or plain print. Choose the bottle you want from our website, tell us the carton/print spec and your target volume, and we’ll quote a full per-unit price.
